In a healthy relationship between two people—whether it be romantic, platonic, or within family—we must be prepared to give and receive unconditional love. Healthy relationships thrive on the ability to trust and respect one another. However, relationships that lack the willingness to reciprocate ethical decisions can become stained. Healthy living is possible when two people in a relationship both equally practice habits that benefit both sides.

They say to write about the things that light fires in your soul. They say to write what you know. But they also urge you to stay silent on controversial issues.

Many college counselors will suggest you start looking at colleges junior year, or earlier if possible. It is also recommended that you visit campuses before applying.

To those who value art, activism, or individuality, symbolism plays a large role. While we, as young people, strive to free ourselves from societal norms, we find comfort in representation through these symbols. Symbolism is involved in many aspects of our daily lives, from the icons on our computer screens to pride flags.
When I was a child, I was infatuated with teenage life. Thinking back, it’s understandable why I envisioned my ideal high school wardrobe and planned each prom—I grew up with the Disney Channel Original Movie lens on adolescence. From the homemade press to the slopes, ON3P skis will not disappoint. What started out of a garage in Tacoma as a mission to create better skis for personal use has turned into an 8400 of warehouse producing and distributing skis to over 10 different countries. Yet they are not like the other ski brands. ON3P makes sure every step of the process in building their skis is done all by hand in their Portland, Oregon warehouse. And it isn’t just the skis that are all handmade. Almost all the tools used to build the skis are handmade as well, such as the ski press, heat box, to the tables, etc. Anything that they can build, they will. The press is even made with old fire hoses!

For most people, Sandy is just the town they drive through on their way to Mt Hood, but to me, it’s the place I call home. Sandy holds a population of 11,000 and is a light 45 minute drive to Portland. Sandy is famous for our Joe’s Donuts, a local donut shop that gets plenty of business from skiers on their way to the slopes and still is home to one of the last standing “Blockbuster Movies” in the world.
Portland. Gone. But the question is, when? Most people on the West Coast are well aware of the fact that we are due to be hit with a massive earthquake that has the potential to destroy entire cities.Portland and the surrounding areas are especially sussentable. Bridges would be wrecked making it so people couldn’t easily get from one side of the city to the other and old brick buildings would purverize from the shaking.
