It’s 3:35 and I’m not Even Home Yet!

For most people, Sandy is just the town they drive through on their way to Mt Hood, but to me, it’s the place I call home. Sandy holds a population of 11,000 and is a light 45 minute drive to Portland. Sandy is famous for our Joe’s Donuts, a local donut shop that gets plenty of business from skiers on their way to the slopes and still is home to one of the last standing “Blockbuster Movies” in the world.

Joe’s notorious donut shop. The best flavor is raspberry filling.

Have you ever driven out to a sporting event at Barlow and thought that you were in the sticks? Keep driving another 10 minutes then you’ll be in Sandy. It may be a little further than your Laurelhurst neighborhood, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
